Neuromuscular diseases can affect children and adults. They have very diverse origins (genetic, inflammatory, toxic and drug-induced, metabolic, etc.) and can have an impact on different bodily functions (motor, respiratory, cardiac function) and be associated with other neurological or other disorders.

The center is coordinated by Dr. Nathalie Bach and is attached to the North/East/Ile de France Neuromuscular Disease Reference Center.

It is composed of two multidisciplinary teams divided into two sectors: adult and child.

Activities

Neuromuscular diseases

Their management requires the involvement of several healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary consultations to aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. The necessary comprehensive assessment can be carried out during a scheduled, fixed-term hospitalization (day hospitalization is possible) in order to group the various examinations in one place and at the same time, avoiding multiple trips back and forth.
