Brain cancer: make a donation!

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, the Caen Normandy University Hospital Foundation is launching an appeal for solidarity to support research and therapeutic innovation in the field of neurosurgery.

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death before the age of 35. Each year, more than 6,000 new cases are diagnosed in France. Unfortunately, due to their rarity, significant heterogeneity, and frequent resistance to conventional treatments, brain tumors pose a major challenge in the field of medicine.

Faced with this reality, the Caen Normandy University Hospital, as a leading center for brain cancer surgery in western Normandy, is resolutely committed to finding innovative solutions to offer hope of recovery to patients with inoperable brain tumors. neurosurgery department aims to acquire innovative neuronavigation equipment to access tumors considered inoperable by conventional means.

The Foundation and the teams at Caen Normandy University Hospital are grateful for the support of several partners who believe in our mission and are accompanying us in this endeavor.
