Heart failure in a few words

Heart failure is a set of symptoms that includes fatigue, shortness of breath, edema formation and weight gain (due to water retention).

Today, it affects 1.5 million French people, particularly those over 60. With the aging of the population, this figure could increase by 25% every 4 years. Despite its dynamic progression, heart failure and its symptoms remain little known and underestimated by the population. Thus, in France, between 400,000 and 700,000 people suffer from it without knowing it.*

It is therefore essential to know the signs that should direct you towards a medical consultation.
