A 2nd edition to benefit Adapted Physical Activity

The CHU Vertical Race returned last night for its second edition, jointly organized by Exaequo, the CHU (University Hospital), and the Maison Sport Santé ( Sports and Health Center). The event also marked the launch of the " Caen ça bouge " (Caen is on the move) Sustainable Mobility Festival .

A race to serve patients

For this second edition, RegNR and Capfinances have renewed their support for the event. Their financial commitment contributes to the care of numerous patients in Adapted Physical Activity for therapeutic purposes within the Maison Sport Santé.

Thanks to the organization ofExaequo, additional donations were also collected through the sale of race bibs. Before the start, a check for €15,657 was presented to the Caen Normandy University Hospital Foundation, for the benefit of the Maison Sport Santé (Sports and Health Center).

This handover took place in the presence of Damien Dumont, acting director general of the University Hospital, Sophie Simonnet, deputy mayor, Dorian Louvet, sponsor of the event, as well as Marc Coplo for Capfinances and Bastien Barraquet for RegNR.

The runners then took up the challenge by climbing the floors of the tower in a sporting, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Many volunteers mobilized throughout the evening to ensure the safety, supervision and smooth running of the race.

The brass band Les Bankales also provided the soundtrack for part of the event, particularly during the warm-up offered by Maison Sport Santé.

Thank you to all the runners, volunteers, partners and organizers who contributed to the success of this 2nd edition!
