The giant prostate makes a stopover in Caen

Let's talk about the prostate!
An information bus will be set up, primarily for patients, caregivers, but also for the general public.

Visiting a giant prostate

This unique and engaging approach, initiated by Janssen Laboratoriesin partnership with regional healthcare professionals (urologists, oncologists, nurses, sexologists, and patient associations), invites patients, their families, and the general public to visit a giant inflatable prostate. This traveling exhibition is designed to raise awareness about prostate diseases, help those affected recognize warning signs, and emphasize the importance of early diagnosis.

Prostate cancer, the leading cancer in men:
In France, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in terms of incidence and the third leading cause of cancer death. With approximately 50,400 new cases and an estimated 8,100 deaths in France in 2018, prostate cancer represents a significant public health challenge. The incidence of prostate cancer increases with age. This cancer occurs in approximately 66% of cases in men aged 65 and over.1 In recent years, both the incidence and mortality rates of prostate cancer have declined.
