The giant prostate makes a stopover in Caen

Let's talk about the prostate!
An information bus will be installed mainly for patients, carers but also the general public.

Visit a giant prostate

This atypical and playful approach, on the initiative of the Janssen laboratory , in partnership with regional health professionals (urologists, oncologists, nurses, sexologists, and patient associations) offers patients, their families and the general public the opportunity to visit a giant inflatable prostate. A traveling exhibition designed with the aim of making as many people as possible aware of prostate diseases, helping those most concerned to recognize the signs that should alert and also alert to the interest of early diagnosis.

Prostate cancer, the first cancer in men:
In France, prostate cancer is the first cancer in men in terms of incidence and the third cancer in terms of mortality. With approximately 50,400 new cases and 8,100 deaths estimated in France in 2018, prostate cancer represents a real public health issue. The incidence of prostate cancer increases with age. This cancer occurs in approximately 66% of cases in men aged 65 and over1. In recent years, the incidence of prostate cancer and its mortality rate have declined.
