Cancerology is one of the establishment's priorities, and has always held a special place in the CHU's activity. It alone represents 20% of the total activity spread over around fifteen care services and as many supports. The CHU is both a cancer referral structure for all of the departments of Manche, Orne, and Calvados, and a local care structure for residents of the Caen area.

Also, the results of the Point ranking, which evaluates nearly 1,400 establishments, confirm the actions carried out in favor of the development of oncology. This is recognition of the teams' work, and an encouraging result for the future.
