Test healthy connected devices!

The Caen Normandy University Hospital is looking for 30 senior volunteers, aged between 65 and 80, to experiment with the use of connected devices and promote autonomy and home care for seniors.

Profiles and conditions

The participants sought are independent seniors, aged 65 to 80, living at home or in senior residences , with a medical history including at least two of the following characteristics: frailty, cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, heart failure…), balance disorders, mood disorders (depression, anxiety…), mild cognitive disorders (memory loss, disorientation…).

Volunteers will be provided with connected devices that they will have to use daily and that they will be able to keep after the experiment, which is scheduled to last until February 2025.

Depending on their profile, participants will receive various items: smartphones, watches, scales, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, connected thermometers, and smart home devices.
While respecting the confidentiality and security of personal information, the data collected will be analyzed to assess the effectiveness of these devices in maintaining the participants' health.

During the trial, participants will have to go to the Clinical Research Centre of the Caen Normandy University Hospital:

  • Conduct an inclusion visit (information, obtaining consent/medical examination)
  • 15 to 30 days later, come and collect the connected devices.
  • After 6 months: attend a follow-up visit (medical examination)
