– Hospital-based Clinical Research Projects (medical and paramedical)
– INCa and ANR
– Industrial projects
– PRME, PHRIP
– Internal research projects
We are also here to perform statistical analysis of the data, as well as to interpret and publish the results.

drci-secretariat@chu-caen.frConsulting, Training and Expertise: the keys to our supportOur unit offers methodological consulting services. It provides training for clinicians and paramedical professionals. In this capacity, we are responsible for teaching biostatistics and clinical research methodology at the Health Training and Research Center (PFRS) of the University of Caen Normandy, as well as in various paramedical schools, such as the Nursing Training Institute (IFSI), the Nurse Anesthetist Training Institute (IADE), and programs in midwifery, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Furthermore, we actively participate in teaching epidemiology, semiology, and epistemology.
Our practitioners are regularly called upon to provide their methodological expertise on research projects, both regionally and nationally.

The dataRegarding the methodological platform, data management is handled by two data managers and coordinated by a lead data manager. The data manager is responsible for creating and managing databases for interventional research projects and participates in ensuring the consistency and quality of the data collected in conjunction with theURC (Research Unit).
SkillThe UBRC 's areas of expertise mainly fall within the following domains: validation of scales, clinical trial methodology, analysis of complex patterns (clusters, propensity scores, meta-analyses) and construction of prognostic models
The unit's practitioners are regularly called upon for methodological expertise in research projects carried out by other regions and nationally.
Some key figures on activity- Data management: 95 databases managed and administered by Data Management (Interventional Research)
- 390 publications with involvement from theUBRC (SIGAPS since 2010)
- Data analysis and interpretation: > 100 studies per year
- Methodological expertise: > 30 per year
- Methodological consultations: > 200 per year
- more than 300 hours of teaching per year
- creation in 2017 of the DU FCSP-RC (Training in the Design and Monitoring of Protocols in Clinical Research)
Major areas of activityThe UBRC's areas of expertise primarily fall within the following domains: validation of scales, clinical trial methodology, analysis of complex patterns (clusters, propensity scores, meta-analyses) , and construction of prognostic models. Two applied research areas are being developed in the fields of nosocomial infections and HIV infection .
