National Malnutrition Awareness Week

National Malnutrition Awareness Week (SND) returns for its 4th^edition once, from November 7th to 14th, 2023, again with the support of the 2018-2023 National Nutrition and Health Program and the Ministry of Health and Solidarity. The Nutrition team at Caen Normandy University Hospital will, once again, be a partner of SND 2023, launched by the Collective for the Fight Against Malnutrition.

Action aimed at users

Awareness placemat for patients: on all meal trays served in the hospital (adults and children) there will be a placemat #NutritionWeek2023 with the possibility of contacting a dietician by telephone for any questions;
Dissemination of a video raising awareness about malnutrition: a video raising awareness about malnutrition by La Poste will also be offered for one week on the TV channel in the rooms of the establishment and in the waiting room;
The PARA-D tool, developed by Professor Agathe Raynaud-Simon, will be made available : the PARA-D Weight Appetite Meals Nutrition – Malnutrition tool will be available for outpatient consultations. This very easy-to-use tool raises awareness about the risk of malnutrition through four questions. Designed for self-screening by vulnerable individuals, it can also be used by caregivers or healthcare professionals.
Distribution of the information flyer on malnutrition;
Distribution of the booklets from the dietitians of the UTNC of Caen Normandy and the Gourmand booklet of enriched recipes developed by Silver Fourchette.
