Cancer: surgeons from the certified gynecology department

Professors Raffaèle Fauvet, Dr Mélusine Turck and Dr Estelle Jamard obtained National Certification in Gynecological Cancer Surgery (CNCCG). One more recognition after that of the service which highlights their experience and expertise in the surgical care of patients with gynecological cancers.

In 2021, the gynecological surgery service already recognized for its expertise

In December 2021, the service had already been one of the first gynecology services in France and the first in Normandy to have obtained National Certification in Gynecological Cancer Surgery.

This certification then recognized the high volume of annual surgical oncology activity as well as the expertise of the service in the management of patients suffering from these specific pathologies. It then reflected the excellence and rigor of the medical and paramedical team in complex pelvic and extra-pelvic surgery (surgery of non-gynecological organs) and already demonstrated the quality of the training provided to young doctors.

December 2023, individual certification of the team's surgeons

This individual certification, carried by learned societies in the field of gynecological cancers, is a real guarantee of skills and recognition of the specific skills required of a practitioner, in view of his professional career, to ensure an optimal level of surgical care in the management of gynecological cancers.

Certification is established on file analysis by a national jury made up of 10 surgeons whose expertise is recognized in the field of gynecological cancer surgery. They also belong to the various learned societies competent in this field.
