Cancer: Certified surgeons in the gynecology department

Professors Raffaèle Fauvet, Mélusine Turck, and Estelle Jamard have obtained the National Certification in Gynecological Cancer Surgery (CNCCG). This further recognition, following that of the department, underscores their experience and expertise in the surgical management of patients with gynecological cancers.

In 2021, the gynecological surgery department, already recognized for its expertise

In December 2021, the department had already been one of the first gynecology departments in France and the first in Normandy to obtain the National Certification in Gynecological Cancer Surgery.

This certification recognized the high volume of annual surgical cancer care and the department's expertise in managing patients with these specific pathologies. It reflected the excellence and rigor of the medical and paramedical team in complex pelvic and extra-pelvic surgery (surgery of non-gynecological organs) and already attested to the quality of training provided to young doctors.

December 2023, individual certification of the team's surgeons

This individual certification, supported by learned societies in the field of gynecological cancers, is a true guarantee of competence and recognition of the specific skills required of a practitioner, in view of their professional background, to ensure an optimal level of surgical care in the management of gynecological cancers.

Certification is awarded based on a review of the application by a national panel of 10 surgeons whose expertise is recognized in the field of gynecological cancer surgery. They also belong to the various learned societies relevant to this field.
