Millennium Arts & Sciences Project

As part of the Caen Millennium 2025 celebrations, participate in an art-science study evaluating the impact of encountering artwork during two museum visits on well-being.
The Caen Normandy University Hospital is seeking volunteers for the study "Art, Well-being, Brain: Effects of Museum Visits on Neurocognitive Well-being."

Volunteer and contribute to a study that evaluates the effect on well-being of an encounter with the artwork.

Who can participate?

Volunteers aged 18 to 65 who can comfortably view a painting without wearing glasses

Why participate?

To contribute to the advancement of science, to acquire knowledge, to raise awareness…

Duration

  • 1 hour for the study presentation and inclusion visit
  • 2 additional half-days for the study

Location of the site visit for the study presentation, inclusion, and consent collection:

  • Health Training and Research Center,
    2 rue des Rochambelles, Caen

Information

A flagship Arts and Sciences project of the Caen 2025 Millennium, led by the Caen Museum of Fine Arts, the Blood&Brain@Caen Normandy Institute, the PhIND, LaPsydé, NIMH, GREYC, and CYCERON research units, the University of Caen Normandy, and the Caen Normandy University Hospital, in partnership with Oblique/s.
A study approved by an Ethics Committee. The protocol was conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data used for the research is anonymized. Volunteers may withdraw from the study at any time, without providing a reason.
