Since 2013, the Caen Normandy University Hospital has been a partner of the book fair and offers its patients workshops or meetings with authors.
This year, the organizers of the fair offered a rich program aimed at several services: Crisis and Hospitalization Unit for Adolescents (UCHA), medical and surgical pediatrics as well as adult psychiatry.
The teenagers from the University Hospital Center (UCHA) were able to participate in a picnic in the botanical garden followed by a sketching walk with Simon Hureau. This walk, shared with the residents of the La Charité retirement home , allowed the patients to practice drawing while combining a naturalist and historical dimension with the artist, who is originally from Caen.
Meanwhile, the children in the pediatrics ward listened to Esmé Planchon tell them a story, followed by a drawing workshop.
Time for escape, creation and fun bringing together several generations which, through a playful approach, allow us to invent, escape, tell stories and share them!
