A new room dedicated to well-being

APA for years . All of its actions (rooms, events, research) were awarded the “Sport-Health House” label in 2021, as part of the National Sport and Health Strategy 2019-2024 .

Today, thanks to the generous support of the Hospitals Foundation , patrons, as well as partners of the Caen Normandy Health Foundation of the University Hospital such as CASDEN Banque Populaire , and thanks to the commitment of the mailroom service, a room dedicated to well-being has opened its doors.

It will be inaugurated on Wednesday, October 4th at 3pm.

Adopting an active lifestyle for your health

The Caen Normandy University Hospital has been heavily involved in physical activity for therapeutic purposes for many years. The institution therefore established a dedicated space for physical activity in 2018.

It has two rooms:

one of 92 m² for group classes for staff and for adapted physical activity protocols for patients,
one of 88 m² intended for the practice of endurance and muscle building activities, independently or supervised by an APA ( EAPA ).

Wellness activities for hospital staff

^room was added to these two rooms, dedicated to wellness activities.

Thanks to a grant from the Paris Hospitals Foundation, "Let's take care of those who care," won by the Maison Sport Santé , in partnership with the Caen Normandie Santé Foundation, and thanks to the dedication of the staff, this room has been fully renovated and equipped. Caen Normandie University Hospital employees registered with Maison Sport Santé will be able to benefit from free, tailored sessions such as shiatsu, Ayurvedic massage, and reflexology. These activities are provided by trained professionals who volunteer their time at our facility.

The Maison Sport Santé CHU Caen Normandie welcomes nearly 1100 staff and more than 900 patients per year.
