Artists for the March – June 2023 season
The Du Bois Brothers:
The concert presented by Les Frères Du Bois is the result of a meeting of four musicians who share a common sensibility, a love of rhythm, lyrics, and improvisation, and a constructive musicality and dynamism that they will put at the service of their beautiful compositions. Their realistic songs, which they alternate with well-chosen covers, will leave you anything but wooden!
Café Calva Caennexion:
Café Calva Caennexion, founded in 2018, is a brass band of health sciences students from the city of Caen. It brings together conscientious students by day and quirky, mischievous clowns by night, always with an unwavering student spirit. You can discover their varied repertoire, ranging from Charles Aznavour to Billie Eilish, by way of Coldplay and Stevie Wonder. For this band, there's only one motto: a good note played timidly is a wrong note, while a wrong note played with conviction is an interpretation.
Salem 2.0:
SaleM 2.0, an original duo from Caen, composed of GrM Lecouflet on bass (Jammerz trio…) and AleX Vétillard on vocals (Al'Heks…), invites you to a sensitive and vibrant musical interlude by revisiting great standards of soul, folk, pop rock, funk…
A surprising encounter between a melodic bass line with astonishing vibrations, a warm, powerful, subtly raw voice, and a piano that envelops with every touch—this is the challenge SaleM 2.0 has set for itself.
Indeed, it is unusual to hear this combination, and yet…
SaleM 2.0 unveils an original and multifaceted universe, drawing on artists such as Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and The Police… inviting the audience to rediscover these songs inscribed in our collective unconscious.
Polykrom':
Polykrom' is a vocal and stage group of 24 singers who joyfully and enthusiastically perform polyphonic songs in three or four parts. Their repertoire showcases French song in all its diversity!
