Bringing a little comfort to hospitalized patients can also be achieved through food! A wonderful initiative at theHematology Institute of the Caen Normandy University Hospital , with the support of the Chugaï laboratory, and the La Villa Eugène restaurant in Caen.
Thanks to this support, the University Hospital is proud to allow 14 patients hospitalized in a protected area (sterile room) of theHematology Institute of Lower Normandy to enjoy a chef's menu!
These patients stay for an average of four weeks, which is particularly physically demanding. This meal is therefore a true moment of pleasure and escape, improving their well-being, morale, appetite, and emotional and nutritional state.

On the menu for March 6th:
- Butternut squash aspic
- Cubed foie gras and crumble, Chicken ballotine – sweet potato cream, Albufera sauce and vegetables cooked English style
- Dessert was a delicious homemade caramel rice pudding.
This operation will be repeated once a month.
