Supporting the Women, Children and Adolescents Institute: Projects to improve care and support
The Women, Children, and Adolescents Institute at Caen Normandy University Hospital is a center of excellence dedicated to the health of women, children, and adolescents. Each year, more than 7,000 young patients are treated there in an environment designed to combine medical expertise with compassionate care. With 130 pediatric rooms , the institute welcomes children and adolescents requiring specialized care every day, while fully involving parents, essential partners in their care journey.
Thanks to its cutting-edge specialties, the Institute welcomes patients from all over Normandy and surrounding regions, thus guaranteeing expert care adapted to the most complex pathologies.
To meet the specific needs of female and young patients, we are developing innovative programs :
- For women : personalized care pathways around maternity, gynecological diseases and breast cancer, with easy access to innovative care.
- For children and adolescents : initiatives focused on the well-being and welcoming of parents, spaces adapted for long-term hospitalization, as well as psychological and play-based educational support projects.
Supporting these projects allows the Women, Children, and Adolescents Institute to offer increasingly tailored, innovative, and compassionate care. Discover the initiatives to be funded in 2025 and the significant achievements of previous years .
