Sylver: A revolution in brain imaging

The Dr. Clément Gakuba Anesthesia-Réanimation service from the CHU Caen Normandie, offers a new Sylver device, developed by the Startup Resolve Stroke, which allows you to make an imagery of the brain directly in the patients's bed.

  • With its increased acquisition and calculation power, this device could push the limits of conventional ultrasound by providing new data in the monitoring of mesing hemorrhages.
  • A first study was conducted in the neuro-resuscitation department of the Caen University Hospital on a cohort of 15 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage.
  • This study has demonstrated the feasibility of technology and identified various brain infusion profiles as a function of the severity of the condition of patients.
  • The results have already been presented in international congresses and will be published during the year. Although preliminary, these advances promise to improve patient care.

Bravo for this innovation and to the teams mobilized every day alongside patients!
