Research Day a renewed success!

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, an important regional research event was held at the PFRS : the Normandy Biomedical Research Day (JNRB), an annual event that is always highly anticipated and successful!

This eighth edition brought together 250 participants from the world of research: doctoral students, clinicians, students, researchers, scientists and paramedical professionals.

A total of 141 health research papers were submitted for the event, distributed as follows:

  • 32 oral communications
  • 10 commented posters
  • 99 posters displayed

The presentations were of high quality and demonstrated the dynamism of research in Normandy. The jury praised the level of expertise of the presentations and awarded several prizes for oral presentations and for the posters with commentary.

After a welcome by the President of the University of Caen, Mr Lamri Adoui and by Mr Samuel De Luze , Deputy Director General – Territorial Strategy of the CHU of Caen Normandy – who both recalled the dynamism of research in the Normandy region – two key moments marked this day:

Professor Eustache and Professor Peschanski gave a remarkable lecture on the evolution of memories (individual and collective) in the perspective of the 13-November Programme . The link with the millennium celebrations of our city reinforced the scope of this memory theme.

In the afternoon, the audience was captivated by the presentation by Professor Anita Burgun , who also addressed a topical issue: digital health data.

A big thank you to all the participants and speakers for this day full of exchanges and discoveries!

We extend our sincere thanks to the team of the Research and Innovation Department ( DRI ) of the Caen Normandy University Hospital , to the Caen Health Department, as well as to all the members of the organizing committee for their commitment and coordination work.
Thanks also to the selection committee for proofreading and ranking the presentations.
