World Breastfeeding Week

From October 13 to 19, 2025 , on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week , the maternity-obstetrics department of the Caen Normandy University Hospital is organizing a day dedicated to breastfeeding on Monday, October 13 .

Open to everyone – patients, families, healthcare professionals and the general public – this day will be punctuated by workshops, stands and conferences led by teams from the CHU, the PMI, independent professionals and partner associations.

A special time to learn, discuss and share about breastfeeding, its challenges, practices and benefits for children, parents and society.

For patients

Stand from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Welcome by lactation experts FEH hall
Conference 2 slots 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.: winter virus prevention and breastfeeding with time for discussion
