Care · Consultations
CarePersonalized support from healthcare professionals trained in tobacco cessation, combined with treatments if necessary, increases the chances of living a long-term smoke-free life.
Many people would like to quit smoking but don't feel ready. Professionals are trained in motivational interviewing techniques that can help you gain clarity and find your own motivation.
Tobacco cessation consultations are directly accessible.
You do not need to go through your primary care physician. If you wish them to be informed of your request, a report will be sent to them, as well as to your other medical contacts.
SupportFollowing your phone appointment, a questionnaire will be sent to you by mail or email. You can take your time completing this form at your leisure, from the comfort of your home. This will help us get to know you better.
During your first appointment, which lasts approximately one hour, you will give this questionnaire to the tobacco cessation specialist. This initial consultation allows them to assess your addiction, as well as your motivation.
At the end of the consultation, you and the tobacco cessation specialist will agree on one or more objectives and the means to achieve them. This objective may be to quit smoking, but also a gradual reduction in consumption, or a change in smoking habits.
