Certification from the High Authority of Health

Caen Normandy University Hospital Certification

Since April 2024, the Caen Normandie University Hospital has been certified by the High Authority of Health “ Confirmed quality of care ”, a recognition of the involvement and work of professionals carried out with patients, and a guarantee on the quality of care .

Mandatory, included in the public health code, certification is valid for four years. This assessment is based on a benchmark developed by the High Authority of Health in consultation with health professionals, representative organizations and user representatives.

It assesses the level of quality and safety of care delivered in public and private health establishments in 3 reference chapters:

  1. The patient : their care, respect for their rights, their needs and expectations, and their commitment.
  2. Care teams : effectiveness and safety of care.
  3. The establishment and its governance (management and establishment medical commission/conference) : territorial collaboration with other players in the healthcare and medico-social provision.

This level of certification underlines the quality of the organization and care of the CHU.
