World Autism Awareness Day

In 2007, the United Nations General Assembly designated April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day. Since then, considerable progress has been made in raising awareness and acceptance of autism.

Open days at the Normandy Autism Resource Centre

On this occasion, the Normandy Regional Autism Resource Centre (CRA) is organizing an open day to present its actions, raise awareness and bring together the associative and professional actors of the territory.

A volunteer from the " Autisme Basse-Normandie " association will present the premises using augmentative and alternative communication, a method adapted for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder ( ASD ).

The CRA also plans to showcase on April 2nd the equipment available for loan to individuals with ASD and their families. This equipment, which is quite expensive and funded by the "yellow coins" campaign of the Hospitals Foundation in 2024, can also be loaned for home testing.
