The postpartum unit of the Maternity · Obstetrics department has been recognized for this new initiative which began in 2024 and its efforts on sorting and recycling small bottles provided to newborns and their parents.

In 2024…

Indeed, through its internal efforts, the Caen Normandy University Hospital (CHU Caen Normandie) recycled 32 kg of mini-baby bottles , representing 1,567 bottles, rings, and teats, between January 1 ^, 4 kg of CO2 emissions.
_Collection containers are available in the corridors near the maternity wards.
