Mental health: exhibition and theatre in Hérouville-Saint-Clair

As part of Mental Health Awareness Weeks (SISM) , the Medical-Psychological Reception Centre ( CAMP ) is offering an activity for the general public focused on artistic expression in order to raise awareness about mental health and psychological disorders.

The project

CAMP 's first participation in 2023 in organizing a public event related to SISM and involving patients, the organizing team wanted to repeat the event in 2024!

This year's theme, "Moving for our mental health", gave rise to the idea of ​​an action oriented towards artistic expression, combining creative expression workshops present on the day hospital and carried out by patients: painting, photo expression and theatrical expression.

The collection of artworks together represents the patients' recovery journey, which is divided into 5 stages:

  • Moratorium
  • Awareness
  • Preparation
  • Reconstruction
  • Growth

On the agenda

  • Exposure
  • Mural creation workshop, for children
  • A theatrical performance with patients and members of the Poppy Company.
