The Normandy West Cancer Institute is an expert cancer center within the University Hospital, closely linked to the local area, particularly Lisieux, Saint-Lô, and Alençon. The Institute offers care to the entire population for all the most common cancers:

  • Cancer screening with actions regularly organized at the university hospital as well as in the city;
  • Diagnosis and announcement of cancer directly at the University Hospital by our oncologists and our experienced and trained care teams;
  • Chemotherapy and immunotherapy in our day hospitals in pediatrics, hematology and oncology or directly at the patients' bedside;
  • Cancer surgeries, from the simplest operation to complex interventions requiring further investigation, across all the aforementioned specialties;
  • Radiotherapy thanks to an effective partnership with the radiotherapists of the Maurice Tubiana center;
  • Oncological support care (psychologist, dietician, social worker, physical activity, etc.) at each stage of the care pathway;
  • Downstream pathways are in full development, whether through home hospitalization for chemotherapy or medical and rehabilitation care in oncology .
