The connected therapeutic apartment

For the rehabilitation and fall prevention of seniors

Falls in the elderly often lead to a loss of independence and frequent rehospitalizations. Yet, current prevention tools still rely too heavily on late or inaccurate clinical assessments.

The medical care and rehabilitation service

develops an innovative therapeutic apartment, equipped with cutting-edge technologies. This space, designed as a place for care, rehabilitation and experimentation, reproduces the real conditions of home to prevent falls and support the rehabilitation of elderly people after hospitalization.

Thanks to smart flooring, environmental sensors, a motion analysis system, and artificial intelligence tools, this apartment allows you to:

  • Detect fall risks before they occur ;
  • Personalize rehabilitation programs for each patient;
  • Train healthcare teams in the use of connected tools;
  • Prepare for a safe return home through realistic simulations.

It also contributes to the prevention and early management of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, by assessing risks, anticipating vulnerabilities and detecting certain pathologies early.

Comprising a therapeutic kitchen, a secure bedroom, an ergonomic bathroom, and a rehabilitation lounge, this space places the patient at the heart of their care journey. By combining technological innovation and a human-centered approach, it paves the way for more preventive, personalized, and future-oriented medicine.
