The Specialized Biology platform is a functional unit that brings together the technical activities of specialized Biochemistry (endocrine testing, regional neonatal screening center ( CRDN ), mitochondrial testing, specialized protein testing) , Immunology/HLA , and specialized Cellular Hematology (specialized cytology and immunophenotyping by flow cytometry) . Its objective is to develop the technical skills of each sub-sector while streamlining the use of expensive equipment (shared flow cytometry analyzers), space utilization, and access to cross-functional technical resources.
