Mitochondrial diseases are a group of genetic diseases, often hereditary. It is estimated that there are around 200 new cases per year in France. These diseases can have a strong impact on the vital prognosis of the patient, and there is currently no treatment that can cure them. The symptoms are very varied, which makes the identification of these diseases difficult.
