Mitochondrial diseases are a group of genetic disorders, often hereditary. It is estimated that there are approximately 200 new cases per year in France. These diseases can significantly impact a patient's prognosis, and there is currently no cure. The symptoms are highly variable, making diagnosis and treatment difficult.
