Life after cancer: the importance of long-term follow-up
Following recovery, medical, psychological, or social complications may arise, such as feelings of unease, academic or professional difficulties, emotional distress related to body image or sexuality, eating disorders, and physical after-effects. To provide comprehensive care for patients and ensure long-term follow-up after treatment completion, the pediatric oncology-hematology recently welcomed a dedicated radiation oncologist.
