Haemovigilance

The main activities of the haemovigilance are:

  • The traceability of labile blood products prescribed to CHU patients,
  • Analysis and declaration to the ANSM of adverse effects (unexpected or adverse events occurring during or after a transfusion) and incidents in the transfusion chain,
  • “Transfusion” information and training for the professionals concerned, in particular nurses, doctors, interns, midwives, people in charge of transporting labile blood products, etc.
  • Transfusion surveys,
  • Participation in the University Hospital's Quality initiatives, with the aim of always strengthening transfusion safety, with the professionals concerned.
