  • Crew

    Composition of service

    • 1 university professor – hospital practitioner
    • 10 hospital practitioners
    • 4 health executives
  • Activities

    Ultrasound

    Ultrasound examinations and echo-dopplers:

    • abdomino-pelvic ultrasounds,
    • cervical ultrasounds,
    • musculoskeletal ultrasounds.

    Level 1 interventional acts:

    • puncture-biopsy
    • joint infiltrations
    • drainage

    Conventional imaging

Its objective is to carry out diagnostic medical imaging procedures, 24 hours a day, for patients hospitalized or admitted in emergency. The unit also performs bedside X-rays in the intensive care units of the CHU and in the operating theatres.

The examinations carried out concern the following organs or devices:

    • respiratory and cardiac system,
    • digestive tract and accessory glands,
    • urogenital system,
    • bones and joints.

In addition, specific standard examinations are carried out:

    • Bone densitometry
    • Imaging of the spine and lower limbs EOS (see paragraph above)
    • Cone Beam (3D dental panoramic)

    Woman-child imaging

    Pediatric Imaging:

    • conventional radiology,
    • doppler ultrasound,
    • ultrasound-guided biopsy,
    • computed tomography (scanner),
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI ).
    • EOS system (see paragraph above)

    Imagery of the woman:

    • conventional radiology,
    • mammography,
    • doppler ultrasound,
    • ultrasound-guided breast biopsy,
    • computed tomography,
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
    • EOS system (see paragraph above)

    Fetal imaging:

    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI),
    • fetal bone scan.

Radiologists also take part in Mathilde screening.

The team makes every effort to improve pain management during pediatric and gynecological examinations (adapted premedication, meopa, hypnosis).

Hypnosis: Patients whose examinations are planned on these areas can benefit from the practice of hypnosis. Team professionals (medical radiology technicians and radiologists) are trained in this technique. Make the request on arrival or, if possible, when planning your appointment.

    Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

The equipment is used in a multidisciplinary way in time shared between different imaging disciplines:
neuroradiology, ENT , cardiovascular imaging, pediatric imaging, female imaging, osteo-articular imaging, abdomino-pelvic and uro-genital imaging.

Within the unit, all MRI concerning the following areas:

    • diagnostic and interventional neuroimaging,
    • thoracic, cardiac and vascular imaging,
    • pediatric imaging, female imaging,
    • musculoskeletal imaging,
    • abdominal-pelvic and urinary, peripheral vascular, diagnostic and interventional imaging,

Some more specialized examinations are also carried out:

    • MRIs , cardiac stress MRIs MRIs )
    • Fetal and pediatric MRIs
    • MRI under general anesthesia,
    • MRI with advanced functional techniques (diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, dynamic angiography, etc.),
    • MRI ,
    • MRI accompanied by a professional trained in hypnosis.

Practice of hypnosis by qualified professionals (to be requested when planning the appointment).

Our 3 devices are equipped with helmets and screens in order to visualize, during the exams, landscapes resting on a music of your choice or a cartoon for the youngest of your choice as well

    Vascular and interventional imaging

UMF: Thoraco-abdominal, uro-digestive and peripheral interventional vascular imaging:

    • angioplasties and placement of peripheral stents,
    • fibrinolysis,
    • hemostasis embolizations,
    • chemo-embolizations,

    UMF: vascular and interventional neuroradiology:

    • angioplasty of the supra-aortic trunks,
    • aneurysm embolizations,
    • endovascular approach to angiomas,
    • fibrinolysis (cerebrovascular accidents),
    • treatment of dural fistulas and cerebral angiomas,
    • embolization of the territory of the external carotid artery,
    • angioplasty and intracranial stenting.
    • percutaneous treatment of herniated discs,
    • bone and vertebral biopsies,
    • vertebroplasties, kyphoplasties.

     UMF: musculoskeletal interventional:

    • joint infiltration under scanner and ultrasound
    • osteoarticular punctures/biopsies

    To scan

Examinations carried out within the unit:

    • Cerebral, spinal, abdominal, pelvic and thoracic scanners,
    • Angioscanners, arthroscanners and coroscanners

    Interventional activity under scanner:

    • punctures, biopsies, drainages, infiltrations, radiofrequency.

    Through its university component

The department trains and teaches radiologists, medical students and medical electroradiology technicians. He also has a research mission.

Radiology is organized into organ sectors, called “medical functional units” under the responsibility of specialist radiologists:

    • Neuroimaging
    • Urodigestive
    • woman child
    • Thorax heart vessels
    • Musculoskeletal
