And if I were
A sensitive and intergenerational film made between La Charité and child psychiatry
Residents of the La Charité nursing home and adolescents hospitalized in child psychiatry at the Caen University Hospital recently participated in an unprecedented artistic and human adventure: the creation of a short film entitled What if I were… .
Created with the guidance of actress Aurélia and as part of a cultural and health project, this film highlights the interwoven stories of young and old people as they explore their emotions, memories, imaginations, and hopes. It's a dialogue between generations, in which everyone was able to express themselves freely.
This project, supported by Normandie Images, the University Hospital of Caen and the City of Caen, culminated in a public screening at the Le Lux cinema on June 16, in the presence of the participants, their families and the care teams.
Through this project, precious bridges are built between different ages, life experiences, healthcare settings, and cultural venues. It beautifully illustrates what can be achieved through the intersection of art and health, serving the human connection.
