Bringing a little comfort to hospitalized patients can also be achieved through food! A wonderful initiative at the Hematology Institute of the Caen Normandy University Hospital La Villa Eugène restaurant in Caen.
Thanks to this support, the University Hospital is proud to allow 14 patients hospitalized in a protected area (sterile room) of the Hematology Institute of Lower Normandy to enjoy a chef's menu!
These patients stay for an average of four weeks, which is particularly physically demanding. This meal is therefore a true moment of pleasure and escape, improving their well-being, morale, appetite, and emotional and nutritional state.

On the menu for March 6th:
- Butternut squash aspic
- Cubed foie gras and crumble, Chicken ballotine – sweet potato cream, Albufera sauce and vegetables cooked English style
- Dessert was a delicious homemade caramel rice pudding.
This operation will be repeated once a month.
