The main missions of the ABC are the following:
- Management of the pre-analytical phase of all biological samples intended for the laboratory (hospitalized and external) excluding pathological anatomy and cytology
- Management of external shipments (subcontracting to external laboratories)
- Dissemination of paper results reports (joint secretariat)
The ABC has a single reception point open 24 hours a day in the immediate vicinity of the PURR which allows optimal handling of samples and in particular urgent examinations.
